Why would they do this???

I have worked for companies that have had to close their doors in the past.  In retail, you sell off everything that you can and then you donate the rest.  It just makes sense.  In this economy, particularly now with so many people in need of just about everything, how can a company explain such blatant disregard of merchandise?

Have you seen this?  A bridal shop in Minnesota closed/went out of business and destroyed all of these gowns!  You cannot tell me that they couldn't sell these at drastically reduced prices to regain some of their costs or donate them to military future-brides or something!  I think it's a disgrace.

Now before someone starts yelling, I get it; it is their merchandise to do with as they please but when so many people are struggling, was this truly the best option for anyone?  Were they so bitter about closing that this was their way of flipping people off?

Bad business.  Maybe THAT'S why they closed their doors...sucky attitudes.

Well it is their stuff to do with as they please. Another way to look at this is the community didn't support this shop. Well they didn't, so why should they give that same community their stuff? Just saying.

Oviously this people feels bitterly miserable and they just couldn't afford to make other people happy while they are so wretched and broken. Truly a despicable attitude!

That WAS a bad business move - there were so many options to recouping some of the cost of those gowns including a tax write-off if donated to charity. Morons - no wonder they went out of business!

Dear Stace, I agree. It just makes no sense to destroy these gowns. Even the material could have been used for something else. I am sure that you and I are not over thinking this! Blessings for a beautiful day, Catherine

Yea, that is a waste. And just because they apologized and gave their reasoning doesn't make it right. They could have protected their designs in a different way or made money for the company or something. I think waste is akin to sin in this day and age when so many need so much. They just said something about it 'cause they were "caught."
