Seriously, I am so ready for this month to be over!! I apologize in advance because I know that so many of you really, really, really love Halloween but I, for one, cannot STAND it. I've never liked it - not even as a child. I feel like it's kind of a senseless "holiday" and I just don't see the reason to continue it.
I'm tired of seeing pumpkins all over the place. Ours died already and had to be thrown out. Of course, the 80 degree weather didn't help it but... I'm tired of clicking on sites and seeing fake blood drip or flipping through the channels on TV to find horror movie after horror movie in honor of Halloween. The only Halloween movie I want to see is "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown". THAT I can tolerate. The rest of it? I'd like it to be gone now, please!
I enjoy Harvest Festivals. I love driving by the farms and seeing hayrides in action and believe it or not, I do enjoy going pumpkin picking. I'm just tired of the whole spooky, cob-webby, big spider, jack-o-lantern scene.
Sorry. Wake me up on Sunday when it is all officially over, please!

I love horror movies and scary stuff, and because Ryan's birthday is around this time, we always have a Halloween themed party. I don't consider it a holiday, but I do think it's fun.
Sorry to hear about your pumpkins. A few years back we had some on the window sill that died and decided to knock out our wireless base station in the process.
And to think that we have an extra hour to wait for November to appear on Sunday morning. I totally forgot about turning our clocks back this weekend. It's almost over:)
Awwww....I like October! Except for this year, that is!
I will admit, I am so tired of the rain, rain, and more rain, (did I mention rain?), wet, icky leaves everywhere, stupid orange lady bug wannabee's, box elder bugs everywhere, horrible HUGE spiders (including one that was on my head....long story), freezing cold Saturday Marching Band competitions and the smell of neighbors trying to burn all of those wet leaves (what WERE they THINKING?).....
Ummmm....yeah....I am agreeing with you....Is it November yet?? HA! :)
I am going to go and build my ark now; with all of the flooding going on around here, I think I am going to need it! LOL
i agree with you about all the spooky scary stuff about this day. i enjoy seeing the little kids all dressed up, but that is about it. i don't like the commercialization that has become most of the holidays. have a great day...hugz!
My husband doesn't like Halloween either. Although his reasons are most likely because he didn't have anyone to take him trick or treating as a kid. He lived in the country, mom didn't drive and dad was too drunk to drive. Kinda sad. Hus likes it a little now just because of the kids.
I love horror movies and Halloween. If you stopped by my blog, sorry for all the fake blood you had to see!
I can definitely understand that. I normally like a good scary movie, but I'm so tired of all the variety of shows doing their version of Halloween recognition. So irritating. It's probably my least favorite holiday as well.
Don't feel bad Stace.Maya and I will be glad when it is over. All her favorite TV shows are all Halloween.
Lets get back to normal.
The only thing fun about Halloween is seeing how much fun the kids have.
We will carve pumpkins tomorrow, rake leaves (joy) and trick or treat...I'm a little excited.
Bah Humbug... you Halloween Scrooge you! lol I love October and Halloween... it's always been my favorite holiday.... I have so many great Halloween memories. And I love scary movies... though I don't get to watch them very often. And besides as soon as it's over I have to start worrying about how I'm going to pay for all of the Christmas gifts I'm expected to buy :( Don't get me wrong I love Christmas too... but every year it gets harder and harder to enjoy because of lack of money. Buying gifts is the fun part for me... and when I can't afford to do that it makes me sad.
But hang in there for one more day... and all of the spooky festivities will be over.
A Lil Enchanted,

Okay, so this was my first year actually trick or treating with my son, the first year we just went to the zoo and he was too little, the second he was recovering from surgery and still in the hospital and now. I never thought of it before, but doesn't anyone else see the stupidity of it? Let's teach our children to ring strange doorbells-no problem there. And further, let us teach them that it is a GREAT thing to take candy from strangers?!?! never even crossed my mind before.
