Why even have a nurse if they can't do anything.

The JH my kids go to started a new thing this year, where they can not supply tylenol or advil. So, if I want my kids to have some at school, I have to send in a bottle with their name, and it will be kept in the nurses station. So let's say all 600 or so students bring in a bottle, where are they keeping it all, and how do they find it when my child needs it? I just think things are getting a little insane in the schools. I wish I had the patience to homeschool.jennhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11126675657006287838noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2758033543840446585.post-52343234567874340342009-10-29T12:27:11.376-04:002009-10-29T12:27:11.376-04:00What an idiot! I used to get frequent calls for my daughter because she would get an upset stomach and at times even vomit. Finally we all figured out it was just nerves combined with Bus sickness and they stopped calling.
Glad he wasn't allergic.Heidihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08903593840515283971noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2758033543840446585.post-48112526791659658002009-10-29T12:21:51.864-04:002009-10-29T12:21:51.864-04:00Of course you went. The stinger thing has me confused too. Is that why they called you? In case you needed to come get the stinger out?

Maybe you can get some rest today?Shellyhttp://mftawk.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2758033543840446585.post-79639802438729153192009-10-29T11:42:28.530-04:002009-10-29T11:42:28.530-04:00Don't even get me started on these schools - I...Don't even get me started on these schools - I've already had to pick my daughter up 3 times (on the first day of school because she had BUG BITES!!) My kids do have a school nurse but she is so horrible that they won't go down to her office and usually end up barfing wherever they are. Yesterday I got a call at 12 saying that Laila was down in the nurses office, she was throwing up and had a bloody nose - they wanted to know if I wanted them to change her - I said no, I'll be there in about 5 minutes - I got there in about 7 minutes - Laila was standing in the middle of the bathroom with blood all over her face and arm and barf all over her arm and dress - these morons didn't even stick her hand under the faucet or give her a tissue to wipe the barf off - idiots.

I completely understand why you ran up there - I always go back to how upset I used to get when I was a kid and didn't feel good - I just wanted my mom. It sounds like, with their rules, you wouldn't want to take a chance.Sheila Sultanihttp://theadmaster.netnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2758033543840446585.post-72737919898132061312009-10-29T10:04:24.995-04:002009-10-29T10:04:24.995-04:00oh, i'd have been ticked too! One big difference between schools in NH vs. schools when we lived in NC is that there is an actual nurse. Actually TWO or more nurses in each school! Go figure. Of course, for the taxes I pay now there should be.Sherrihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03379663058314916384noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2758033543840446585.post-90880117224536190232009-10-29T08:28:35.439-04:002009-10-29T08:28:35.439-04:00well, thank goodness he isn't allergic. what a...well, thank goodness he isn't allergic. what a stupid policy that they can't take the stinger out. things just aren't what they used to be, are they. have a wonderful rest of your day stace...hugz!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09592036311912962601noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2758033543840446585.post-62776830405626986522009-10-29T07:27:48.871-04:002009-10-29T07:27:48.871-04:00They aren't allowed to take the stinger out?? ...They aren't allowed to take the stinger out??
