Here are my tips on getting the best out of it.

1. There SHOULD NOT be a T.V. but if there is, unplug it, hide it, and pretend it isn't there. REALLY! Not even five minutes before you go to bed, not three minutes while you have coffee, NOTHING!!!
2. I don't know where you are going, but mountains is mountains. Stay up real late...these days ten is fine, but try for midnight...grab a blanket and a cup of hot cocoa (hee hee splash a little brandy in there for even more warmth) and go outside, stand in the middle of a clearing, and look up and chat while you wait for those falling stars.
3. hike hike hike, and then find a stream and write
4. Sit outside and watch that beautiful sun rise with a cup of coffee. Don't get dressed first.Head out in warm PJ's and a blanket. Nothings. In my humble opinion, unless it is the day you are coming or going, there is NO time in the mountains. No watches, no clocks, nothing. NO technology (remember when I went?). If you want to write, do it the old fashioned way.

I am jealous. Take me with you?
If we had extra money, I think I might buy a cabin. I am the type of girl to camp without a tent, but hubby just isn't!Frugal Vickihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14215233645206729306noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2758033543840446585.post-38041612880965705342009-11-13T15:01:45.007-05:002009-11-13T15:01:45.007-05:00Sounds like a great place to spend Thanksgiving! ...Sounds like a great place to spend Thanksgiving! Well, last year none of the children were with me and I spent it with a friend's family out of state. Nice change of pace especially since I didn't have to do any work.Petulahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11246335892746223347noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2758033543840446585.post-80761431896717186982009-11-12T16:06:30.634-05:002009-11-12T16:06:30.634-05:00Good for you to mix it up.
